To See Or Not To See?

''are those sunglasses?’’ ‘’Where did you get those earrings from?’’ …… these questions and more greeted my ears back in school and whenever I put on my ‘aviator earrings’ J
I first created these earrings circa 2007(I always like to look distinctive and as such, i'm not very comfortable when I am not – even if it’s just a little tweak here and there. Life looks better that way , at least to me it does!)when I saw a pair of aviator sunglasses and got them with the intention of not wearing it on my eyes or forehead. So I am going to share the tutorial with you so hopefully you’ll try it too because it’s pretty and trust me, would get you loads of compliments!

Here's what you'll need:
 a pair of aviator sunglasses...
pin ear-rings...

charms from a charm bracelet, or pendants.... here i used silver. you could inject some colour and do a colourful charm or pendant.(u'll need a pair, i uploaded photos of two charms. one being on my previous ear-ring(the key), and the other for the purpose of this tutorial.

that's all you need, plus your hands of course :-)

Here's what you'll do:

Carefully take the lenses apart...carefully so you don't get them cracked or worse yet, broken.

pass your pin earring through the jump ring on the charm,  and into the hole at the top of the lens and here's what you have:

and upside down........

here's my previous earring

and then the one we just created...

see the difference in size? hmmmm.

and on moi:

spoil of war:

this is actually one of the 'handles' for the sunglasses. watch this space for what i'll do with them.....

Be sure to post photos of your aviator earrings when u do make ‘em! Would love to see 'em!

xoxo.
