The Hunt For Fed Sequined Fabrics

I went fabric shopping the other day, as I was supposed to get a red sequined fabric for a particularly stylish lady J I really enjoy working with her. She thinks outside the box when we discuss fabrics, designs, aesthetics etc. and most of all she IS NOT scared of colour!  I searched through the fabric shops and this is what I came up with, along with the emerald green number. Couldn’t leave it behind.

And as always, I ended up getting these others as well, talk about deviating L there were vintage inspired fabrics, Ankara of course,jersey……

Now before I upload the photos, I want to share a little thought shall I? I  often think (I have an overly wild imagination -  I mean I analyse colours, sequin arrangements, ,fabrics, photography images, scenery, details, patterns in my head most times which is cool and annoying at the same time because I get headaches as a result but I can't complain cos it’s a process I enjoy :-) back to my ‘thought’, I often think how nice it would be to have a nollywood movie that’s obviously centred on a good plot, but would display such great fashion and style through its characters.

There are TV shows , series, and movies  I love because they are entertaining and also have so much to look at such as Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, Single Ladies, Breakfast at Tiffanys, the list goes on and on, and then there are those I just basically see, not because I find them interesting or entertaining, but because of what I’m looking at – the level of fashion invovled in the clothes, furniture, etc  and I wonder why we cant have nollywood movies with such - I’m talking classy, timeless pieces, dramatic, quirky, and so on, all visible in different characters, and let’s not forget accessories, and then Ankara, adire, aso-oke made into trendy pieces…..oh, for that day!  

Even without a ‘not so gripping’ plot, this element could compel many to enjoy the movie and buy it.
