My Finished Sew Along Dress

Hey! Feels good to be back and to see the blog the way I want it to be! But honestly though, being naturally spontaneous, I just might do one or two tweaks subsequently - Lord help!
Now for previous readers of TSN, you would definitely notice the change in theme, colour, media buttons....I felt it was much needed because for one I wanted an all white background ( although retained the predominant pink colour which you now see all round the blog's pages).....all in all, I hope you like the new look!
Now on to the business of the day. quite honestly, I had to draft the intended post I was to upload and send this out because its been pending for too long and in my bid to becoming a more serious blogger lol!, I that it wise to send in the finished Sika sew along dress before doing my new posts.
In case you wondering why I didn't share the rest of the process, 'participants' on the blog weren't being very encouraging, abandoning me!  so I had to go it in my own :-(
Anyways, hope it would be better next time and meanwhile the sew along on Nairaland.com is picking up so well, would share photos with you soon.

So here's my version of the Sika Scope Wrap Dress- I wanted a full skirt but with minimal gathers, so I added tulle to the underskirt. Hope you like!

And here's the dress that started it all...

That's all folks! Do remember to subscribe for TSN blog updates and freebies!

Well done Onnari, sorry for feeling abandoned. Please keep up the good work. You've been doing a good job on Nairaland and I have been following this blog and your thread on NL. Hope you will soon start another one? I intend to start the Sika wrap dress next week, please I will need your help with the bodice.
Thank you.

Hello Onnari. Love your work.
I tried to follow the sew along for this dress. I encountered a problem while putting the pieces together. After I had sewn the pieces of the princess seam together (I used your tutorial for cutting it). I realized that the outer pieces were shorter in length than the middle piece. What could I be doing wrong?

Hello Naomi! I don't think you're doing something wrong. Know this:
Join the pieces from the bottom upwards, do not pull either piece, notch the joining seam, iron out.
